WEATHER BLOG: Cold Moves In

A cold front is pushing east across the region and shifting out winds out of the west and northwest.

This shift in wind direction will begin to filter in the beginnings of what will be a very chilly next several of days.

Overnight lows will dip into the 30s and on Thursday, and we will be lucky if we make it out of the 40s. Clouds will increase on Thursday.

By Thursday night, some models are suggesting that we may see a stray sprinkle or snow flurry.

However, I think we have a much better chance of seeing our first flakes of the season Sunday night rather than Thursday night.

Even if we do get a little snowfall Sunday night, it likely won't amount to much. We are still fine-tuning the forecast as far is this is concerned.

Regardless, snow flurry or not, it is going to get much colder into the weekend and the coldest air won't even arrive until the beginning of next week.
