WEATHER BLOG: Cloudy, Warm And Wet

A cold front over the Great Lakes region will move into our area Friday afternoon. High pressure will settle in along the eastern seaboard this weekend. A cold front will move through the Mid-Atlantic Monday into Tuesday.

Ahead of the front, there's dry air and breezy southwest winds. Widespread precipitation holds off until late afternoon but could be scattered as moisture starts to work its way through the atmosphere.

A narrow band of increasing moisture could trigger a few thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Temperatures will climb into the 70s for the next few days and near 80 degrees by Sunday. Friday night it gets breezy and fog could form overnight. Clouds and fog break in the early hours of Saturday and temps respond nicely.

Expect low 70s as your Saturday high.
