WEATHER BLOG: Chillier Air

Chillier air will prevail across the Eastern Region until further notice... The temperature today will probably manage to return to levels near 50, but that's still much cooler than yesterday was...

Tonight, we'll have our first "wintry mix event" of the season - as a low pressure system starts to develop off of the mid-Atlantic coast... There should be some rain and snow for a while this evening, which will probably end briefly as "all snow", but not nearly long enough to bring any kind of accumulation.

At this juncture, I would only cover for "A slushy coating on non-paved surfaces" at the very most. Tomorrow and Saturday will be even chillier, and while there ought to be some sunshine - the temperature will probably be no higher than the 40s both days...Sunday, we'll be waiting on the next round of precipitation... All preliminary indications are that it will begin and end as rain (starting Sunday night, then ending on Monday)... Have a good day!!
