WEATHER BLOG: Changes Are Coming

High pressure off the East Coast and a cold front approaching from the west are helping to create a southerly and southwesterly flow of warmer air for today. Many areas reach 80° and some spots even topped out in the low 80°s. That's not too bad for late October! The cold front will push east tomorrow, bringing us a few showers and setting us up for more seasonable conditions temperature-wise (at least for the next couple of days. There is still a lot of concern regarding this weekend. For now, the forecast is favoring dry conditions for Trick-or-Treaters… but showers are expected to move in at least by Friday night. Depending on where this next system sets up, we could be talking about some showers in the area… and maybe a flurry (at least for the mountains and areas north). Regardless, we are going to get downright cold. The coldest air of the season thus far will move in this weekend and highs will be 30°+ higher than today.
