WEATHER BLOG: Can't Shake Off Winter

Although we will have a brief warm-up later this week, we just can't seem to shake off winter! A small low pressure system now centered over Illinois will head eastward in the flow. This system will bring flurries and/or snow showers to the region overnight through Tuesday AM. Otherwise, we will mostly be dealing with clouds for a time. Expect some sunshine by late tomorrow afternoon followed by no worse than partly cloudy skies Tuesday night. Warm advection clouds will move in Wednesday along with an afternoon shower or two. Temps will likely be held down on Wednesday due to a chilly start and the arrival of moisture. Our first rumble of thunder this season may arrive Thursday as a cold front approaches the region.
