WEATHER BLOG: Below Average Temps Expected to Start the Week

High pressure off to the northwest will gradually build south intot he start of next week. With ample cold air advection, temperatures will be well below normal for the next couple of days. After a breezy afternoon, winds will gradually decrease overnight. Skies will be largely clear through Tuesday, but temperatures will average around 10 degrees below late March normals. It will remain chilly on Tuesday as high pressure advances overhead and pushes eastward Tuesday night. Temperatures Tuesday and Tuesday night will be between 5-10 degrees below normal. A storm system will approach the region on Wednesday with a warm front crossing through in the afternoon bringing opportunities for occassional rain showers through Wednesday night. Winds will become more southerly with this frontal passage as well allowing temps to come back to and above normal ahead of Thursday's cold front.
