WEATHER BLOG: Beautiful Day

Hi everyone! This is actually a short week with the July 4th holiday weekend coming up. I think most of the country is taking the 3rd off, so we have just a short period of time before the parties start... or will they? Weather is going to be a player much of this week. Here's the story.

Today, no issues... just a BEAUTIFUL day and evening with a high of 80 degrees. Then, we will watch a front begin to move toward the Mid-Atlantic and begin to stall (here comes the bottom line). If that front does not sag far enough south, it will be a conduit for moisture to stream into the area. There is a p.m. t-storm chance Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If that front remains closer, there is almost a guarantee of wet times in that period.

Time for honesty. I don't think we will be actually be able to give you a good solid look at that time period's forecast until Wednesday morning. Stay tuned.

I feel like John Harbaugh talking about the Ravens when discussing the holiday outlook with you. "It's never easy, and it's never pretty." But just like the Ravens, we usually get a win. Let's hope so.
