WEATHER BLOG: A Gorgeous Summer Day

It is a gorgeous summer day in Baltimore!

Highs are forecast to reach into the mid 80s with a heat index making it feel more like the upper 80s to right around 90 degrees.

Any shower activity that does occur Tuesday will stay well to the north and west of us, but we can't say the same for Wednesday.

While Tuesday will be another rain-free day across the eastern two-thirds of Maryland, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Wednesday.

As a wave of low pressure begins to develop along a very slow-moving front, showers and t-storms will break out as early as Wednesday afternoon.

The biggest concern we have is that any thunderstorm that moves through the region Wednesday and even early on Thursday could be heavy enough to cause flooding, especially in areas of poor-drainage.

Stay tuned to your First Warning forecast on WJZ for updates.
