WEATHER BLOG: A Fairly Nice Day

It will be a fairly nice day today with modest ridging ahead of a weak disturbance moving through tonight. The disturbance moving through tonight will be very weak and bring a little bit of snow and rain to the area. Accumulations are not expect with ground temperatures being too warm. For Sunday, clouds will be on the decrease as high pressure entrenches over the region. Clear skies and cool conditions will continue into Sunday night.

By Monday, temperatures really begin to warm up as strong disturbance digs in the western U.S., and heights steadily begin to rise. A return flow is therefore expected as the high pressure pushes eastward. It will be a fairly breezy day with the wind occasionally gusting around 25 mph. Monday night will continue to be dry with some clouds rolling through.

An even warmer day is expected on Tuesday as a continued west to southwesterly flow pumps warm air from the Gulf of Mexico into the area. This will also be the case on Wednesday with temperatures soaring towards the 70 degree mark.

By Thursday, a front will stall out over the region and bring periods of rainfall to the region. This will continue through the evening hours.

By Friday, temperatures will cool slightly, with a little bit of Canadian air filtering in, but the stalled out frontal boundary will lift northward once again for the weekend, bringing warm air back to the area.

Have a great day!
