1 Person Rescued From Susquehanna River Near Darlington
DARLINGTON, Md. (WJZ) -- Crews rescued one person out of the Susquehanna River in Harford County Friday afternoon.
According to the Susquehanna Hose Company, the water rescue crews were in the area of Deer Creek.
They rescued a person trapped in the river about 100 feet from shore.
Swiftwater 5, with Zodiac 5 in tow, is responding to the Susquehanna River in area of Deer Creek. Ground based crews from Level & Darlington VFCs reporting one subject trapped in river approx 100' from shore. Just after 3 p.m. officials received a call of a reported capsized boat.
The boat was occupied by two people, one of whom was able to swim safely to shore while one of whom was stranded on a rock in the river.
Subject has been rescued by #SHCo crews and is being transported to EMS awaiting on shore.

Crews reunited the two subjects and cleared just after 4:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
