WATCH: Six Flags Unveils 'Superman: Ride of Steel' Virtual Reality Coaster

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- This summer, you can get saved by Superman. For a price.

The price of admission for Six Flags America, that is, where a new virtual reality ride featuring Clark Kent's alter-ego opened this week.

WJZ's Mike Schuh got a first-hand look at Six Flags' newest, high tech addition to their "Superman: Ride of Steel" coaster.

It's one of the country's first virtual reality roller coasters, and it allows riders to wear a Samsung headset to experience an animation that includes the Man of Steel himself, Lex Luthor and a perilous sky ride through Metropolis.

The virtual reality story matches the real-life G-force and twist and turns of the ride.

Watch the video above to get a more in-depth look at the new coaster.
