WATCH: 'Human Mattress Dominoes' World Record Broken in Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The furniture and appliance chain Aaron's broke a Guinness World Record and donated 1,200 mattresses to charity in the process at the Gaylord National Resort in Maryland.

More than a thousand Aaron's associates lined up inside two of the resort's exhibit halls, which cover 70,000 square feet, to attempt the biggest "human mattress domino topple" in history.

They broke the previous German record of 1,150 people, and they did it in just one 13-and-a-half-minute attempt.

You have to see the feat to understand how impressive it truly was:

Aaron's Human Mattress Dominoes

Did you hear? Aaron's broke the Guinness World Records as the LARGEST HUMAN MATTRESS DOMINOES with 1,200 mattresses! On Tuesday evening, 1,200 Aaron's associates lined up tightly inside the Gaylord Resort in D.C., to attempt the largest domino topple in the world for charity. Finishing a little over 13 minutes, Aaron's broke the record with only one attempt! Thank you to all of our store managers for helping make this event a success! Special thanks to Woodhaven, our mattress manufacturer, for loading and unloading the mattresses and providing a very generous discount for the event. All 1,200 mattresses will be donated to the Sasha Bruce Youthwork and Wanda Alston Foundation homeless shelters and A Wider Circle, an organization focused on ending individual and family poverty.
