Walt Williams Reviews The Terps Performance

Mark Turgeon talks about what the Terps need to do in the coming games and how to get tougher moving foward.

Walt Williams had a long career at Maryland and the NBA. He joined the Norris and Davis show to go over the current team and their "toughness" while playing.

Williams commented on the '"toughness" aspect saying, "I think it's more of a mental approach than a physical."

He said, in an overall sense, they played solid all season and had a few bumps in the road. The Big Ten is a tough conference and Maryland is not the "supreme team" in this level, no one team is really demanding control in the conference right now.

Williams continued, "I'm not worried about them offensively. [Melo Trimble] was hitting jump shots and Jake Layman had moments where he was on fire, so I'm not really worried. Defensively though, Indiana just got a break on them, especially in the second half, Williams was a ball of energy and no one could match his intensity and that really opened up the game."
