Virginia Man Arrested After Bringing Gun Through Security At BWI
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A Virginia man was arrested at BWI this morning after authorities say he attempted to carry a hand gun past security.
Authorities say the 9mm handgun was unloaded and among the man's carry on items as it passed through the x-ray machine.
The man told TSA officers that bag he brought to the checkpoint belonged to his wife and that he didn't know the gun was in the bag.
The man was arrested on weapons charges and interfering with security procedures.
TSA official say this is the 14th gun detected at BWI this year.
