Vince's Crabhouse Owners Officially File Lawsuit Against Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski

MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WJZ) -- Vince's Crabhouse is officially suing Baltimore County and County Executive Johnny Olszewski for $400,000.

The Middle River restaurant came under fire after one of the owners post went viral on social media. He later apologized, but for the last month, protesters have been gathering outside the restaurant every day.

The owners say the police were ordered to stand down by the county executive and are not doing their jobs protecting them, their employees or their customers.

Baltimore County said it does not comment on pending litigation, but in a previous statement, Olszewski spokesperson Sean Naron called the lawsuit "baseless."

"These baseless claims are not grounded in facts or reality," Naron said. "The men and women of County law enforcement have consistently gone above and beyond in service to all residents of our community regarding this matter. The County will continue to protect residents' first amendment rights to peaceful protest while doing whatever is necessary to ensure public safety"
