Vince Neil Facing Misdemeanor Battery Charge In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil is being charged with misdemeanor battery in a case alleging he grabbed a woman's hair and pulled her to the ground in April outside a Las Vegas Strip resort.

Neil's attorney, David Chesnoff, wasn't immediately available Friday to comment on a criminal complaint and summons ordering Neil to appear July 27 in Las Vegas Justice Court.

The complaint was filed June 27.

Bystander cellphone video provided to TMZ.com showed actor Nicolas Cage physically restraining Neil before police arrived April 7 outside the Aria resort.

The 55-year-old Neil wasn't arrested, and Cage wasn't accused of a crime.

Motley Crue is a heavy metal band known as much for partying and famous girlfriends as for hard-driving hits like "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood.
