Vehicle Replacement Fund Offered to Ellicott City Flood Victims

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Ellicott City Partnership and Heritage Toyota Catonsville have joined forces to provide financial support to flood victims who lost vehicles in the July 30th storm.

The financial support effort was launched on Monday and is available to those in need of financial help to replace their vehicles that were destroyed.

"The road to a full recovery is very much dependent upon access to transportation as business owners and residents need to replace their vehicles lost in the flood so they can get back to work," said Steven B. Fader, CEO of MileOne Automotive Group, the parent company of Heritage Automotive. "We are pleased to be part of the Howard County relief effort in a way that helps those vehicle owners get back on the road."

Grant applications and details for financial assistance can be accessed at heritageautogrant.com and the deadline for applying is Wednesday, October 28.

"We depend upon businesses like Heritage Toyota that are helping our businesses and residents rebuild and reclaim their livelihoods," said County Executive Allan Kittleman. "The support they have given has been unprecedented and is making a tremendous difference in helping Ellicott City get back to business."

Heritage Automotive operates 29 franchises, selling 16 brands of new cars, trucks and SUVs, and 19 service centers in locations throughout Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard Counties.

Last week, Howard County officials announced the reopening to Ellicott City's Main Street, 10 weeks after devastating floods killed two people.
