Van Hollen to visit Lieber Institute for Brain Development

BALTIMORE (AP) — Rep. Chris Van Hollen will tour the Lieber Institute & Maltz Research Laboratories at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

The congressman is scheduled to visit on Monday.

The tour will feature scientific demonstrations and highlight the facility's work to find new cures for brain disorders.

Van Hollen will discuss the federal role in fostering innovation and cures.

The Lieber Institute is a not-for-profit medical research institute. It was created in 2010 to speed up efforts to find new cures for brain disorders.
