US Marshals Offer $5K For Man Wanted In Death Of 10-Year-Old Makiyah Wilson

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The U.S. Marshals Service is offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of killing a 10-year-old girl who was headed out for ice cream.

WTOP-FM reports Isaiah Murchison is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the slaying of Makiyah Wilson.

Makiyah was killed last summer while walking through the crowded courtyard of her Washington, D.C., apartment complex. Authorities say four masked men jumped out of a car and fired gunshots into the crowd, inadvertently striking Makiyah.

Murchison is one of 11 people charged in the slaying. His brother, 26-year-old Antonio Murchison, was charged Monday with first-degree murder. Court records say he was one of the masked men. The charged men will be tried in groups, with the first trial set for next summer.
