Underwear-masked Man Charged In Hagerstown Armed Robbery

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Myersville man has been arrested and accused of robbing a Hagerstown liquor store while wearing underwear as a mask.

Hagerstown police have announced that 31-year-old David L. Palmer was arrested Tuesday night, shortly after authorities say Palmer, wearing gray underwear on his face, displayed a knife in the liquor store and demanded money before fleeing.

Police say Palmer was found by officers nearby and arrested after witnesses identified him as the culprit. He has been charged with armed robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia. No one was hurt during the incident.

It was not immediately clear if Palmer has an attorney.
