UMBC Soccer Coach Pete Caringi On His Teams Upcoming Trip To The Final Four
Pete Caringi is the Head Coach of the UMBC Retrievers men's soccer team.
Pete joined Ed and Steve to talk about his team making the trip to the Final Four.
Coach Caringi started out by talking about making it to the final four of college soccer saying "we match-up well they're very talented they have a couple guys from the national team youth program...the three teams we beat leading up to this were all national powers and we haven't been intimidated." Coach Caringi also talked about the story of this team and how unlikely it is for them to make it to the Final Four and emerge from the shadow of bigger local schools. And the Coach also talked about what this season and this playoff run mean for recruiting for the Retrievers saying "the recruiting profile has gone up, nationally we are becoming well known."
