Two Masked Gunmen Rob McDonald's On Falls Road

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a McDonalds in Hampden Sunday night.

At 6:30 p.m., police said two men wearing masks, dressed in black, used a handgun to threaten employees at the fast food restaurant in the 3900 block of Falls Road.

They took money and fled.

It's the latest in a string of robberies, according to Baltimore Police.

"Detectives from our citywide robbery unit are investigating several recent robberies that have occurred throughout the city," said Det. Jeremy Silbert. "Most of these incidents have occurred at convenience stores or other commercial establishments."

Police aren't sure if the same robbers hit this McDonald's, but they are looking into it, because it is very similar to the robbery of a Burger King and businesses along North Avenue.

"We also believe these same suspects may be responsible for other robberies occurring in our neighboring jurisdictions," said Silbert. "specifically Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County."
