Two Killed, One Injured In Gaithersburg Car Crash

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say two men were killed and a third was hurt when their SUV hit a tree in Gaithersburg.

It happened about 4:30 a.m. Sunday on Woodfield Road. Police say an SUV driven by 32-year-old Thomas Christopher Collier of Gaithersburg was traveling south when it crossed into the northbound lanes, left the road and hit a tree.

Officers say Collier and 26-year-old Daniel Lee Byron of Gaithersburg were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-six-year-old Kobi Assaraf of Rockville was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
