Tupac Shakur's Mother Dies in California

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Tupac Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur Davis, died late Monday in Marin County, California, according to authorities there.

She was 69 years old.

In the 1980s, Tupac Shakur attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Baltimore, and later transferred to the Baltimore School for the Arts.

The Marin County Sheriff's Coroner's Office will lead investigation to determine exact cause of Afeni Shakur Davis's death, but deputies responded to a report of possible cardiac arrest at her Sausalito home around 9:34 p.m. Monday night.

She was transported to a hospital where she died a 10:28 p.m.
