Troopers: Frederick Woman Killed in Head-On Crash

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Frederick woman was killed in a head-on crash in U.S Route 40 Alternate in Middletown on Saturday afternoon, according to the Maryland State Police.

A 2004 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Bryan Gabriel of Washington County was heading west on U.S Route 40 near Mt. Taber Road after 4:30 p.m. when it veered across the center line and struck an eastbound 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse, troopers said.

Troopers said the Mitsubishi's driver, identified as Kimberly Bohannon, died at the scene.

The pickup's driver was taken to Meritus Hospital for treatment.

There's an ongoing investigation into the crash.
