Troopers: Edgewood Man, 23, Dies After Crashing Into Telephone Pole

ABINGDON, Md. (WJZ) -- A Harford County man has died after his car veered off the road and into a telephone pole in Abingdon overnight, authorities said Friday.

A Honda driven by Christian Serrano, 23, of Edgewood, was heading west on Route 7 near Governor Court about midnight Friday when, for unknown reasons, it swerved across the lanes and struck a pole on the eastbound side of the road, according to the Maryland State Police.

Serrano was rushed to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers are investigating what led up to the crash.
