Tree Falls Into HoCo Apartment Building
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Severe weather struck parts of Maryland. In Howard County, an entire apartment complex is now uninhabitable.

"Stuff just kept pounding on my window, bang bang bang," said one resident.
The storms turned dangerous for nearly three dozen Laurel residents when a tree buckled on top of an apartment building.
"I was devastated," he said. "I said, `I hope nobody's in there,' just to find out my friend and his baby were in there."
Wild, windy storms tore through Maryland. Stebbing Way in Laurel bore the brunt of Mother Nature's wrath. Emergency crews found a monstrous tree carving out the back half of a three-story apartment complex. Residents described the falling tree as shaking the entire building.
"My niece was in the apartment when the tree fell. She said she felt the whole building shaking," said a woman.
As the damage is so extensive, fire crews declared all 12 units were uninhabitable. Emergency crews have secured what's left of the building until repairs can begin.
The apartment management company is assisting the 12 displaced families.
