Tree Branch Hits Car, Kills Man In Baltimore County

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Police say a man is dead after a tree branch broke off and struck the car he was driving in Baltimore County.

Baltimore County Police say it happened around 11 p.m. Friday in the 13100-block of Dulaney Valley Road. Police say that a large branch broke off of a tree, fell on some power lines and then struck a car being driven by 60-year-old James Walter Power of Forest Hill. Power was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Power's 18-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
