Train Car Derails In South Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Officials say a train car carrying hazardous materials derailed in south Baltimore Thursday morning, but there's no leak.

The city's Office of Emergency Management tweets that the car derailed near the 2600 block of Cannery Avenue on Thursday morning. Emergency officials say fire department hazardous material crews evaluated the scene and found no hazards.

CSX spokesman Rob Doolittle tells The Baltimore Sun that the car is carrying hazardous materials, but there are no leaks and no injuries. Doolittle says the derailed CSX tank car is still upright with two wheels off the track.
