Traffic Stop Nets Two Arrests On Gun Charges

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police arrested two men and seized a loaded rifle and a handgun following a traffic stop in West Baltimore Tuesday night.

Investigators received a tip about 8:30 p.m. that a suspect who was banned from possessing a gun was armed in the Western District, police said. Acting on that information, detectives pulled over a car in the 1700 block of North Fulton Avenue.

Detectives found a loaded rifle lying on the back seat in the car and later confiscated a .45 caliber revolver from the home of one of the suspects inside the vehicle, according to police.

Investigators arrested Vaughn Epps, 31, of the 400 block of South Mount Street, and Daquan Knight, 20, of the 1100 block of Pujab Drive, and booked them on a list of gun charges. According to police, neither man is legally allowed to be armed.
