Tony Lombardi Says 'Joe Flacco Is An Average Quarterback'

Tony Lombardi of Russell Street Report joined Norris and Long to preview the Ravens game on Sunday.

"What's the identity of the offense?" is the big question the Ravens are currently facing.

As the Ravens bring some fresh eyes to the offense with the new coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, the team hopes to improve on the field. However, Tony Lombardi isn't convinced all their problems are solved with the staffing change.

"Joe's being paid to be an elite quarterback and he's not. He's an average quarterback. But he's a very rhythmic quarterback. He's a guy who isn't one of these cerebral quarterbacks...he is what he is. I think the capability is still there, but right now it's more of a quarterback problem than it is a coordinator problem," Lombardi explains.

Lombardi lists some of the players that are injured and likely out of the game this weekend: C.J. Mosley, Ricky Wagner, Marshal Yanda and Steve Smith Sr.
