Toddler Critical After Being Hit By Car In Md.

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (AP) -- A 3-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car and pinned underneath it in Prince George's County.

Police say the toddler was struck at a busy intersection in Temple Hills when it was dark and raining on Monday evening. Police say a group of people helped lift the car off the boy after it pinned him.

He was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police say the boy was with his parents at the time of the crash and was not in a crosswalk.

The driver of the car that hit the boy remained at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
