TIPS: Looking To Catch An Uber During The Winter Storm?

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Looking to catch a ride during the winter storm? Uber says they've got you!

The company says they are committed to getting riders around safely, but it could cost you.

Here are some tips before requesting a ride:

  • There may be longer ETAs and trip routes.
  • Due to State of Emergency in effect, dynamic pricing will be capped, reflecting their policy.
  • Demand could be high, but dynamic pricing will be made very clear in the app. Riders are notified and asked to confirm and accept increased fares - or they can opt to get a notification when prices drop. Riders still have the choice - instead of having no cars available.

If there is a TRAVEL BAN, the company says, "Uber partners will be staying off the roads, and riders will be able to use Uber again once the ban is lifted."
