Snow, Sleet Arrived In Maryland Monday Night

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The ground is primed for whatever Mother Nature's set to throw our way in Maryland.

We're seeing a lot of moisture Tuesday morning, which is bringing rain and sleet to parts of the state.

UPDATE | Maryland Weather: Roads Slick As Rain Moves Through Tuesday Morning

The cold air has chilled the roads efficiently this weekend, so slick roads and hazardous traveling conditions can be expected through Tuesday morning.

Conditions should improve around lunchtime on Tuesday.

A warm front moved our way Monday, bringing a mix of precipitation.

Some snow moved across the Baltimore area late Monday night, but overnight precipitation shifted as warmer air took over.

 

If you're in southern Maryland you're looking at mainly a rain situation with not much snow going on over there.

Further into Western and Northern Maryland, there are some chances for 0.3" or more near Cumberland area, 0.2" in  Frederick and 0.1" over near Bel Air and Elkton area.
