Three Ravens Named To Pro Bowl

BALTMORE (WJZ) --- The NFL announced that three Baltimore Ravens have been voted to the Pro Bowl for their performances during the 2014 season.

Outside linebacker, Elvis Dumervil, rookie linebacker, C.J. Mosley and guard, Marshal Yanda have been selected to play in the NFL's All-Star game.

This is the fourth year Dumervil has been invited to play in the Pro Bowl. Dumervil played a role in helping Baltimore register the NFL's third most sacks, which is 45. His other contributions include:

  • single-season franchise records in sacks (17)
  • sack yardage (-127.5)
  • 90 career sacks, ranking third amongst active players since 2006

Mosley is the first-ever rookie to earn Pro Bowl honors. Mosley's contributions to the Ravens include:

  • 115 tackles
  • three sacks
  • two interceptions
  • NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month in October
  • topping his class with 122 tackles (seventh in NFL)

Yanda, an eight-year veteran, is being invited to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time. Yanda's contributions to the Ravens include:

  • blocking efforts have only allowed 18 sacks this season (second fewest)

The first alternates for the Ravens include Justin Forsett, Jacoby Jones, Kyle Juszczyk, Sam Koch and Terrell Suggs.

Selected players will be assigned to teams through the Pro Bowl Draft on Jan. 21. The NFL All-Star game will be played Jan. 25 at University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, Ariz at 8 p.m.
