Three More Penguin Chicks At Maryland Zoo Get 'Rare Names'

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Three more precious penguin chicks at the Maryland Zoo have received their rare name.

Meet Garnet, Emerald and Jasper. 

All of the new chicks are being named for gemstones because endangered African penguins are precious and rare.

So far, at least nine penguin chicks have hatched at the Zoo during this year's breeding season.
