Thousands Of Gallons Of Sewage Leaking Into Stream In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Thousands of gallons of sewage have been leaking into a Baltimore stream every day for at least three weeks. That's according to our media partner, The Baltimore Sun.

Public works officials say a 21-inch main is releasing about 15 gallons of sewage into the Chinquapin Run each hour. It's happening near the stream's intersection with Loch Raven Boulevard.

Crews will not begin repairs to the sewer main for about three weeks. By then, at least 15,000 gallons of sewage is expected to have leaked into the stream.
