#TheDress Debate Heard Round The World

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--The old saying "perception versus reality" is being put to the test on the internet and out on the street.

Mike Schuh shows us how a simple two tone dress is causing people to take sides.

Here it is, the dress that's threatening to break the internet. What colors do you see? Here are your choices:

"It's black and blue," one man said.

"That looks like gold and white, " another woman said.

The perception of color in this picture is divisive. Wired Magazine made this graphic, in which, some of the blue perceivers can see the white and gold.

Internet polls like the one on Gawker showed a preference for white and gold.

Hampden is split.

Schuh: "What color is that dress?

"That dress is gold and blue," one man said.

Schuh: "William Gaines Jr. what color is that dress?

"Brown and White," Gaines says.

This morning, on first viewing, Mike Schuh saw white and gold, then had to stare at TV lights for 5 minutes and, poof! It was clearly black and blue... so perception can change.

"Now it's blue and gold. "

Schuh: "But this picture is white and gold."

Without any hesitation, the man calls Mike Schuh crazy!

Here's the scientific explanation--what you see is what you see.

Through the miracle of the internet, we can also confirm the llamas ran all over Phoenix because they disagreed over the dress color.
