The Play By Play Voice Of The Steelers Previews Sundays AFC North Clash

Bill Hillgrove, lead play-by-play broadcaster for the Steelers football network joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to discuss the upcoming Ravens vs. Steelers game. Its Steelers week in Baltimore and the upcoming game against the Steelers has the fans and players on both sides fired up and ready to go. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL.  They currently have the same record at 5-3.

With all the upsets and crazy football games that have been going on, Scott believes this has been the craziest NFL year. Hillgrove believes "To get a beat on teams you should probably wait until the middle of the season. Some teams are starting to separate, but each week is so different."  The better teams are starting to move ahead, however, crazy upsets are still happening such as the Monday Night Football game this past week when the Redskins beat out the Cowboys 20-17 in overtime.

Bill Cowher made comments a couple weeks ago regarding the Steelers playing soft.  Asking if that fired the Steelers up, Hillgrove stated, "I think it did.  I think the players took it personally and I think the defense took it personally." Hillgrove says he thinks that is the best they've played.   "It was like an answer game."  They are speaking of the record setting game for Ben Roethlisberger against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Ravens are done with divisional games minus the last game of the season against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers still have 2 games left against the Bengals.  This will be a battle because Hillgrove states, "In this one the winner gets the driver's seat and the loser gets the bottom. The mistakes the Steelers have made are to lose against Tampa Bay and get clubbed against Cleveland."  Hillgrove also believes the healthiest teams survive and the Steelers are starting to get healthy, and the Ravens are too.

This will be a tightly watched game by the refs due to this being a, more than likely, extremely aggressive game.  Penalties will be called. Many Ravens fans were extremely upset about a penalty called at the end of the game against the Bengals, fans need to be prepared for those types of calls in this game as well.
