The Lyric Drops 'Modell' Name From Historic Theater

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- If you've driven by the Lyric Opera House recently, you may have noticed something different.
The names Patricia and Arthur Modell are no longer on the facade of the building.
The names came down late last month after a dispute between the Lyric and the Modell family over donations to the organization.
In a statement sent to WJZ, the lyric says it's grateful for the Modell's 10 years of support and is looking forward to the future.
