Terps To Be Featured In Showtime's 'HOOPS U'

BALTIMORE (WJZ-FM) — In the midst of March Madness and the Maryland Terrapins getting national press for a surprise inaugural season in the BIG 10 Mark Turgeon and the Men's Basketball Team will be featured on the premiere episode SHOWTIMESports' new documentary special HOOPS U.

The exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary premieres this Wednesday, March 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

HOOPS U promises to give viewers backstage access into the world of Division I college basketball as the University of Maryland Terrapins (and University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish) and vie for a spot in the men's national college basketball tournament.

The special will feature exclusive footage from the classroom to the locker room.

"This will give viewers a unique insight into what really goes on behind the scenes at a premier college basketball program," said Steve Mayer, Executive Producer & Head, IMG. "Our production team is receiving unparalleled access from both universities and the result will be a fascinating look at the preparations, personalities and pressures associated with college basketball at the highest level."
