17-Year-Old Girl Shot, Killed In NW Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 17-year-old girl was shot and killed early Saturday morning in northwest Baltimore, police say.

Officers responded to 4300 Reisterstown Road at around 1 a.m. Saturday.

They say they found the girl unresponsive with an apparent gun shot wound to her upper body area.

Medics responded and transported her to Sinai Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded out and are investigating this murder.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was walking with a group of people when an unknown gunman approached and fired a shot into the group, striking the victim.
