Teen Charged With Stealing Shotgun From Outdoor World Bass Pro Shop In Arundel Mills Mall

HANOVER, Md. (WJZ)—A 19-year-old Maryland man has been arrested for breaking into the Outdoor World Bass Pro Shop in Arundel Mills Mall and stealing at least one shotgun.

Police say they are still unsure how Sterling James Henderson, of Ft. Washington, broke into the shop around 1:48 a.m. Saturday.

Surveillance footage shows a suspect leaving the store through the inside of mall and carrying a shotgun.

The store's manager reported a shotgun missing from a display.

After an extensive investigation throughout the weekend, detectives were led to a home in Prince George's County where they arrested Henderson, who had changed his appearance by shaving off his noticeable sideburns.

Henderson was charged with second-degree burglary with the intent to steal a gun, theft under $1,000 and trespassing.

The stolen shotgun has not been recovered.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

It is unknown what Henderson's intent was outside of stealing the shotgun.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Western District Detective Unit at 410-222-6155.
