Sweet! DC Officials Have Registered Their 100th Beehive

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Officials in the District of Columbia say they've got some sweet news: they've registered their 100th beehive in the city.

Beekeeping is legal in Washington, but beekeepers are required to register any colonies being kept in the city. Environmental officials said on Twitter on Tuesday that they have registered their 100th hive.

The city's Department of Energy and Environment, which handles the registration, says all eight wards of the city now have registered hives.
