'Suspicious Item' Found At MTA Bus Stop In Woodlawn Was 'Inert Simulated Explosive Used For Training'

WOODLAWN, MD. (WJZ) — A 'suspicious item' called in by an MTA bus driver near an MTA stop in Woodlawn was determined to be an "inert simulated explosive device" used for training purposes.

Baltimore County police received a call at around 12:09 p.m. from an MTA bus driver who said they saw a "suspicious item" at a gutter near an MTA bus stop at Security Blvd and Rolling Road.

A bomb squad, police and fire all responded to the scene.

The intersection of Security Blvd and Rolling Blvd was closed but reopened.
