Suspects Sought In Attempted Robbery Of Man's iPhone

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are asking for help identifying two suspects they say tried to rob a man of his iPhone in Baltimore's Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood earlier this month.

Investigators released surveillance images Monday of the suspects they believe are responsible.

The victim told police he was talking on his phone while walking north in the 1000 block of Cathedral Street just before 10 p.m. June 10. He moved to the left to make room for a group walking the opposite way, but instead the group surrounded him, according to police.

A man with the group tried to grab the victim's phone and punched him in the stomach, the victim told investigators. The victim said he fell down, but did not let go of his phone. The suspect and the group then took off southbound on Cathedral Street, according to police.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects pictured is asked to call police at 410-396-2411. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
