Suspect Injured In Police-Involved Shooting

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police say officers shot an armed man who ran from police and into an auto repair shop.

Police say the unidentified man was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition following the shooting. Police say they recovered a handgun.

Police have not detailed how many officers were involved in the shooting, how many shots were fired or what exactly occurred that led the officers to open fire.

Police say the officers were investigating a car accident in northwest Baltimore on Sunday morning when the armed man was pointed out to them. They chased him into the repair garage, and police say two people ran out of the garage when the man entered. The officers went inside and shot the man.
