Robbery Suspect Injured After Jumping Off I-83 During Escape

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—An armed robbery suspect is injured after police say he jumped off I-83 in an attempt to flee from police on Friday.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. when police responded to an armed robbery Loch Raven Road and  24th Street, in Baltimore.

Authorities say they saw the car leaving the scene and chased the suspect.

During the escape, the suspect made it onto I-83, sideswiped two cars, and then jumped of the highway in the ravine below.

The suspect's injuries are still unknown, police would confirm he did suffer some lacerations to his face.

Authorities say a gun was recovered at the scene.
