Suspect Faces Murder Charges After Fight Outside Party Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Wounded

CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- Cambridge police have charged a Hurlock man with multiple counts of murder following a shooting Sunday at an Elks Lodge that left two dead and two others wounded.

Thirty-year-old Terrence Jermaine Brown is facing two counts of first-degree murder and multiple lesser counts following his arrest Sunday.

Police say officers responded to the Elks Lodge at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Cambridge Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley said the lodge had been rented out for a private event and two guests had been kicked out of the party. Soon after, a fight broke out outside the building, followed by gunfire.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The victims' names have not yet been released.
