Suspect Driving Without Headlights Leads To Carjacking Arrest

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A teen is arrested after police say he attempted to flee police in a vehicle that was involved in a carjacking last month.

Baltimore Police say they were patrolling around 1:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of North Bentalou Street when they observed a vehicle driving without headlights.

When they attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver apparently accelerated at a high rate of speed to elude officers.

The suspect, identified as 17 year-old Kalim Satterfield, then fled his vehicle on foot, but was later arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

Police believe Satterfield was involved in an armed carjacking on April 26, 2016 in the 5300 block of Carriage Court in Baltimore.

Police have seized a loaded handgun with six rounds and a black bandanna from the suspect.
